Event Glimpses: Research Symposium 2024
The ARTaI Research Symposium 2024 brought together researchers, technologists, and policymakers for a day of presentations, panel discussions, and collaborative workshops. The event showcased ongoing research projects across AI, digital education, cultural heritage technology, and sustainable innovation. Attendees participated in live demonstrations, prototype showcases, and networking sessions designed to foster cross-sector collaboration. The symposium established a recurring annual format for ARTaI's research community to share progress and explore emerging opportunities.
"We believe that true innovation happens when rigorous academic research meets on-the-ground reality," said the Director of ARTaI. "This initiative is designed to empower local startups and youth to leverage cutting-edge tools to solve the most pressing challenges in our region."
A Commitment to Sustainable Progress
The newly launched framework includes a comprehensive mentorship program, access to a state-of-the-art incubation hub in Kathmandu, and seed funding opportunities for promising projects. Over the next five years, ARTaI plans to incubate over 50 deep-tech startups focusing on education, healthcare, and sustainable infrastructure.
This is just the beginning of a larger effort to establish Nepal as a growing hub for applied technological research in South Asia. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our journey.
